Congratulations to Cameron Smith for being awarded the Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Award! Cam is a current first year PhD student in Education (Societies, Cultures, and Languages) and EducLang Grad student member. Informed by his background as a Core French as a Second Language teacher, Cam's research interests focus primarily on teacher education, French as a Second Language education, and educational technology. His Bombardier-funded doctoral research explores FSL teachers' use of educational technology, and the development of a Community of Practice to support these teachers in enhancing their practice.
Cam holds a MA in Educational Research from the University of Calgary, and completed his undergraduate BA and B.Ed at Brock University. Cam most recently worked as a research and project manager for the University of Calgary. Email: cameron.smith@uottawa.ca
